YES Behavioral Health, Inc.
Crisis Receiving Centers

The Mission
The mission of The Wellness Center is to provide compassionate health care services to eligible persons residing in the Greater Richmond area.

The Wellness Center includes psychiatric and other mental health services as well as medical diagnosis and medically necessary treatment of physiological and other persisting conditions not requiring a referral or in-patient hospital services. Care is directed toward health promotion, disease prevention, management of routine medical conditions, appropriate referral to specialty care in Richmond, and continuity across inpatient and outpatient settings. The clinic is staffed by a psychologist, psychiatrist, licensed mental health clinicians, a family physician, a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, a licensed practical nurse and a patient service assistant.

Your first visit to The Wellness Center will be scheduled when you are enrolled. When you come to the clinic for any visit, the healthcare provider and other members of the wellness team will assess your physical and mental health condition and talk with you about any other problems you may be having. This helps the team understand you better and allows you to make decisions about your health. They want to work with you to make sure you understand your medical needs. When you know what is wrong, you can make better decisions about treatment options.

If you don’t have an appointment
In order to give you the best service, we ask that you DO NOT walk into the clinic without calling. Always call first. Someone will discuss your problem with you, and depending on the symptoms, arrangements will be made for you to see a provider that same day or you will be given an appointment.

When you have an emergency
If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, please call 911 or report to the nearest hospital. Emergency Rooms in local hospitals are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week for any emergency care.
