The Therapeutic Day Treatment is a school-based counseling program. Services are a combination of psychotherapeutic interventions combined with education and mental health treatment. The program operates 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or during after school hours Monday through Friday. Participants receive activity therapy, recreational therapy, educational therapy, individual therapy and group therapy. Upon completion, successful participants will have reached their identified goals, determined by the individualized service plan.
The goal of the program is to prevent extended out-of home placements of children and adolescents of children. The Day Treatment Program also operates a full-day summer camp during the months of June, July and August. Life Coaches’ staff of dedicated and highly trained professionals will develop a treatment plan that uniquely responds to each child’s needs. Life Coach is licensed by the Virginia Dept. of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services and is triennially accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF).
