Program Manager - Day Treatment Program
This position supervises employees providing community-based services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or behavioral health challenges, which includes: recommendations for hiring, termination, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution. The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the department, ensuring compliance with agency, federal, and state policies and regulations; oversees continuous quality of services. Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the department. Plans and facilitates community outreach and education activities, as appropriate to the position may serve as a liaison and representative to community organizations and schools. Provides casework management of a specialized case load; performs screening and assessment; prepares individualized studies for admission, placement, and/or discharge. Provides counseling, therapy and/or psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate to the position; prepares treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs; provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required. Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or other human services field, Masters Degree preferred, and five years of experience in a day treatment program.
